Celebrating our heritage: Retro Raleigh
Introducing Retro Raleigh - a brand new site for fans to tour the archives, share their pics and get exclusive updates about all things retro.
Calling all old-school Raleigh riders – we’ve launched a brand new retro site!
From Burners and Grifters to Choppers and Vektars, every Raleigh rider has their personal favourite from the archives. Maybe it’s the one you unwrapped on Christmas morning as a kid, or the frame that had you burning up tracks in the glory days of BMX. Maybe it’s the one your friend had that made you green with envy.
Now, we’re giving you the chance to fall back in love with your favourite set of wheels.
Cataloguing the most iconic bikes from Raleigh’s 135-year history, Retro Raleigh is a space for fans to explore the archives, upload pics of old-school frames, and get exclusive updates about all things retro. Most importantly, it’s a space for you – the Raleigh riders. The ones that live life on two wheels.
Here’s some of the things you can find over at Retro Raleigh.
A timeline of iconic Raleigh bikes
If you’ve ever fancied taking a tour of the legendary Raleigh archives, this is the place for you. Over at Retro Raleigh, you’ll find the history, details and specs of the most iconic bikes in Raleigh history.
As a brand new hub for all this history, the Retro Raleigh site is a catalogue in progress, so we’re still busy putting all the magic together for you. For now, we’ve kicked off with those beautiful Burners, so you can head over there now to see every glorious Burner ever wheeled out.
There’ll be more iconic frames hitting the site soon, so stay tuned!
Epic illustrations, courtesy of Christian Tunstall
One of the first things you’ll notice about Retro Raleigh is the epic illustrations. They’re from Christian Tunstall – an illustrator, designer and long-time Raleigh fan. In his spare time, we noticed that Christian had done a load of beautiful illustrations of his favourite old-school Raleighs (including every Burner ever made). So we decided to collaborate.
The results? Retro Raleigh – and a limited-edition print of the TI–Raleigh, which you can nab here.
The Raleigh Hall of Fame
Got a pic of your favourite frame from back in the day? Send it over to us for the chance to be featured in the Raleigh Hall of Fame! There’s already a load of great snaps on there, so be sure to check it out.
A new mailing list for all things retro
Be the first to know about all our retro news! From special events and limited-edition remakes to little bits of history, this mailing list is specially made for die-hard fans. You can sign up here.
Got some ideas for Retro Raleigh?
Retro Raleigh is all about the fans, and we want it to grow into a lovely little hub for your favourite bits of Raleigh history. If you’ve got some ideas for us, we’d love to hear them and will soon launch a contact form for feedback. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy it!
